Bespoke In-Person Training
Practical, in-person training designed around your organisation, your people and the situations they encounter in their everyday work. We tailor each session to your context so the learning feels relevant, useful and immediately applicable.
Training designed around your organisation
No two organisations are the same. Different sectors, teams and communities face different challenges, which is why we do not rely on a one-size-fits-all training model.
We work with you to understand your audience, priorities, existing knowledge and the situations your people are most likely to encounter. From there, we shape the content, examples, scenarios and activities to ensure the training reflects your organisation and the outcomes you want to achieve.
Training can be delivered as a single focused session or as a series of workshops that build knowledge and capability over time.
Who is this for?
Our in-person training is designed for adults whose roles influence the safety and wellbeing of tamariki and rangatahi.
We work with professionals, volunteers, leaders and teams across education, sport and recreation, social and community services, care and other child-centred settings. Training can be developed for a particular role or team, or delivered across an organisation to strengthen shared understanding and consistent practice.
Focus Areas We Cover
Training can be tailored across a wide range of areas within our Safe Adults and Safe Cultures framework, including:
recognising signs of distress, harm and unsafe behaviour
responding safely to concerns and disclosures
de-escalation and co-regulation
trauma-aware practice
neurodiversity, accessibility and inclusion
professional boundaries and safe communication
modelling safe, healthy and respectful behaviour
bullying and relational harm
child voice, belonging and participation
whānau engagement and cultural responsiveness
leadership and organisational culture
strengthening safe systems and everyday practice
These are examples rather than fixed programmes. We can combine topics or develop training around a specific challenge or capability your organisation wants to strengthen.
What to expect
Our training is practical, interactive and grounded in real-world application. Rather than relying on theory alone, we help participants explore how knowledge translates into everyday decisions, conversations and behaviour.
Depending on the session, learning may include facilitated discussion, realistic scenarios, group activities, reflection, practical tools and opportunities to ask questions.
The aim is to build confidence, not simply awareness, so participants leave with a clearer understanding of what they can notice, what they can do and when further support may be needed.
I highly recommend this training…. The facilitators were approachable and friendly, making learning easy and fun.
I enjoyed the interactive and shared learning approach.

Jade Speaks Up's wānanga reminded me of the deeper purpose behind the work we do and gave me renewed clarity and motivation. Having the space to reflect, share openly, and learn alongside others was incredibly grounding.
